英语版的读后感篇1

i've read this twice. the first time i rushed through it just to find out who was the "victim." yeah. wasn't really surprised about that. i'm sure a few people are thinking it was a serious mistake to off our lamented victim, but honestly, i wasn't really enthused at having to slog through this book.

i understand that this is covering the adolescent years of young mr. potter, but the whole teenage angst thing came out of nowhere. there should've been some hints as far back as "chamber" but instead, we have four years of pent-up hormones come flooding out of the page. it is overwhelming at times, a feeling made worse when you realize that there wasn't a big plot; if anything, this was written partially for contract, partially to continue the story (i, personally, could have lived without the whole hagrid/grawp subplot, not to mention 50% of dolores umbridge, who herself is part pun, part metaphor, yet neither part really does anything but make one groan)。

but one thing to be said, there is growing tension and suspense in the book, which is written and intended--if we remember for a moment and think (perhaps somewhat na-iv-ely)--for young adults and not those of us with seasoned palates. this is why the book deserves a high rating; to me--and to many individuals over the age of, say, 16--this isn't a great novel. but it is an excellent novel for the young adult crowd and anyone who wants a mystery/fantasy/pseudo-thriller with characters who are reaching the genesis of their development. we may not like the person harry becomes or the browbeating attitude of umbridge or ron's jealousy rearing its head at odd turns, but it is a realistic portrayal of adolescent confusion and angst, of the tendency for some individuals in today's society to repreinformation and punish anyone who tries to resist the "system."

yes, this is a heavy-handed statement, but this book is a metaphor as much as it is a fantasy. remember, the harry potter series is desgined as an arc, so we naturally have to have the stage set for the final two books in the saga.

hardcore potter fans will enjoy this. anyone expecting a great epic, however, will be disappointed because of their misconceptions.

英语版的读后感篇2

the story of the little prince, is sad, a pain of love. love was serious and sincere, cut bone pain and unbearable.

the little prince's love, pure and elegant, sincere seriously. if the dead could make him back to his own the stars, if death can let him meet with the person i love, he will choose to die, threw because he is deeply in love with her, because his heart was tamed by rose. he did the same, he gently down, and as he came to earth is unknown.

thoreau said, people live a life of quiet desperation, he is far away from the crowd, the sun go down to find the root of all decadent, nothing, this is a dusty heaven. fortunately our hearts there is a story of the little prince, sad but beautiful, little prince sorrow for the pure love; good, because of love to give a person touched and hope.

because the story of the little prince, when we are in a quiet life, in the heart has a hope and tenderness, have touched and about domestic responsibilities.

英语版的读后感篇3

during the american civil war, mr. madge went to the battlefield as chaplain, four daughters and her mother at home and lived a poor but strong and optimistic life. although they were poor, they were willing to help hummel, a neighbor who was more in need of help. women have vanity, they want to get beautiful clothes, eat delicious food, live like a princess. although full of fantasy, but in real life, they have been relying on their own efforts to solve all kinds of hardships in life. meg was the eldest daughter of beauty, full of longing for love; the two daughter of joe independent, determined to become a writer; three daughter bess is a traditional girl, gentle and lovely little daughter amy loves painting. the story follows the years when the four women grew up as young women, describing their uninhibited love experiences and their respective pursuit of different ideals and destination.

this is a book that looks very prosaic at the first glance. but when you go deep into it, you will be surprised to find that this book seems to be full of the shadow of yourself or some familiar people. to face and experience all the girls growing up in the age of the girl, can be found in this book: the first love and worry, differences between emotion and reason, the ideal and the reality, the contradiction between the rich and poor. the little woman has no plot of falling rocks and no suspense, but the author tells the familys love by simple words. watching and watching, i can not help but cry for them, inspired by their experience, and even pray for their misfortune. of course i was their humor laugh, they admire the courage to face difficulties...... unconsciously, i felt like i was one of them, watching and thinking about the plot of my mind.

i like meg, i like her love for poverty, not for money temptation character, like her lady style. i like joe, i like her freedom, i love her unswerving determination to dream. i love beth, love her quiet, do anything without complaining, she always love for others good character. i also like amys belief that she is strong and regards poverty alleviation as the responsibility of poverty. their ideals and fates are different, but they all find their best home.

in their view, the home is their growing place, but also a sacred refuge. they listened carefully to their mothers teachings, and used their smart hands and brains to invent another creative and beautiful mind game. the growth process of the four sisters seems to be an interesting educational poem. the author uses neither gorgeous nor boring language to show us the great family, friendship and love of human beings. it seems to me that in the eyes of the four sisters, it is the happiest thing in the world to live forever with the people they love and those who love them.

from them, i learned to be strong, learned to know contentment, but can not meet, i learned to be full of hope for the future, and strive to pursue the dream of optimism. i also learned to double treasure what i have, dont wait for death to lose, only to know their commendable. we should find out the advantages of everyone, not with colored eyes, but see the shortcomings of others.

英语版的读后感篇5

the ugly duckling.

one evening, the sun was just setting in with true splendor when a flock of beautiful large birds appeared out of the bushes. the duckling had never seen anything so beautiful. they were dazzlingly white with long waving necks. they were swans and uttering a peculiar cry. they spread out their magnificent broad wings and flew away from the cold regions toward warmer lands and open seas.

they mounted so high,so very high, and the ugly little duckling became strangely uneasy. he circled around and around in the water like a wheel, craning his neck out into the air after them. then he uttered the shriek so piercing and so strange that he was quite frightened by himself. oh,he could not forget those beautiful birds, those happy birds and as soon as they were out of sight. he ducked right down to the bottom and when he came up again,he was quite beside himself. he did not know what the birds were or where’d they flew. but all the same,he was more drawn towards them than he had ever been by any creatures before. he did not envy them in the least. how could it occur to him even to wish to be such a marvelous beauty? he wouldn’t be thankful if only the ducks would have tolerated him among them, the poor ugly creature.

early in the morning,a peasant came along and saw him,he went out onto the ice and hammered a hole in it with his heavy wooden shoe, and carried the duckling home to his wife. there,it soon revived. the children wanted to play with it. but the duckling thought they were going to ill use him and rushed in and he frightened to the milk-pan,and the milk spurted out all over the room. the woman shrieked and threw up her hands. then it flew to the butter-cask and down into the meal-tub and out again. oh,just imagine what it looked like by this time. the woman screamed and tried to hit it with the tongs, and the children tumbled over one another in trying to catch it,and they screamed with laughter.

by good luck, the door stood open and the duckling flew out among the bushes and the new fallen snow. and it lay there, thoroughly exhausted, but it would be too sad to mention all the privation and misery had to go through during that hard winter. when the sun began to shine warmly again, the duckling was in a marsh, lying among the rushes. the larks were singing, and the beautiful spring had come. then all at once,it raised its wings and they flapped with much greater strength than before and bore him off vigorously. before he knew where he was,he found himself in a large garden with the apple trees were in full blossom. and the air was scentedly with lilacs, the long branches of which overhung the indented shores of the lake. oh,the spring freshness was so delicious. just in front of him,he saw three beautiful white swans advancing towards him from a thicket. with rustling feathers, they swam lightly over the water. the duckling recognized the majestic birds, and he was overcome by a strange melancholy.

“i will fly to them, the royal birds, and they will hack me to pieces because i who am so ugly venture to approach them. but it won’t matter. better to be killed by them than be snacked up by the ducks, pecked by the hens,or spurned by the hen wife,or suffer so much misery in the winter.” so he flew into the water and swam towards the stately swans. they saw him and darted toward him with ruffled feathers. “kill me,oh,kill me.” said the poor creature. and bowing his head towards the water,he awaited his death. but what did he see? reflected in the transparent water,he saw below him his own image, but he was no longer a clumsy dark gray bird, ugly and ungainly. he was himself,a swan.

英语版的读后感篇6

every girl can be a princess

a little princess is a touching novel written by frances hodgson burnett—a famous novelist and dramatist. it obviously contains lots of fancied plots, but the parts it talks about creating miracles, can really reach the bottom of my heart. the book can bring me into a world that is more than reality while reading it. the extraordinary story makes me ponder a lot and gives me a deep impression that every girl can be a princess.

in my opinion, it is impossible for every rich girl to act like a well-behaved princess, but sara, the heroine of the novel, did it! she was an imaginative little girl who had such intelligent small face and such perfect manners. sara was a very nice girl who had a gentle, appreciative ways of saying, such as “if you please” “thank you” which was very charming. so, not only her teachers and classmates liked her, but also her servants liked her. there was a time when sara became a poor and pitiful servant insulted by the snobbish headmaster of the school. in spite of this, she had never complained to anyone about the horrible suffering she had endured. sara was confident, brave, optimistic and kind-hearted just like before and she had never given up her enthusiasm of life. no matter when, sara acted like a princess, and on account of this, she had accomplished a great deal of miracles over and over again.

after reading this outstanding book, i was shocked by sara, a little girl who suffered such unimaginable pain and tortures, but still had an opposite attitude towards life. what impresses me most is that sara put on her act of being a princess when she wore thin bottom shoes, wading in the street of london. from my point of view, her spirit of being so strong-minded when she was in hard times is worth admiring.

truly, every girl is a princess coming into common life. the “princess” i mean is not a princess living in the palace and being regarded as the apple of everyone’s eye. as the matter of fact, the “princess” is at heart. i am in the belief that every ordinary girl in the world can be a princess. the way for a girl to be a princess is quite simple. just suppose! you can suppose yourself to be a princess, and go about your business confidently without caring how the others would treat you. if you want to have more resemblance to a princess, be more kind and try your best to help the people in need. the most important thing you are supposed to do is that to feel like a real princess at any occasion, particularly when you are involved with enormous melancholy. do not feel the conditions you faced are extremely wretched and attempt to get rid of the feeling of hopelessness and uneasiness. the less you look like a princess, the more you need to feel like a princess at heart.

every girl can be a princess if she can do all i mentioned, no matter she is rich, beautiful or not. to speak truthfully, i cannot do as well as sara. however, i will exert myself on being a princess mentally.

do not feel depressed any more, to be a well-thought-of princess like sara. you can do it, because every girl can be a princess.

英语版的读后感篇7

spring has just spread its wings. i always walk by the garden and think. “what a beautiful season!” i like reading as much as people like spring. i enjoy reading books under a tall cherry blooms tree. the petals fall down slowly and lightly and make me very happy, just like going to a sweet dream. if the book is alice in wonderland, i think it will be wonderful.

i finished reading this book a few days ago. the plot in this book is very attractive. oh, in my opinion, it is not only a book but also a story about adventure, that’s boys’ favorite. and it is a fairy tale about daydream, too. i think most of girls like daydream, including me. so i love this book very much.

alice is a little simple girl. she was sitting under a tree at first. then she saw a white rabbit and ran after it, the rabbit jumped into a rabbit-hole and so did alice. she fell down and down and came to a different place called ‘wonderland’. everything was strange there. she saw the bottle which had ‘drink me’ on it and drank it, her size changed. that was really exciting! i always imagine that i can change my size according to my wishes, and then i can be tall enough to reach the biggest red apple which is hanging over on the top of the tree. or i can be short enough to visit the house of ants. do you think it would be interesting? so we can know how lucky alice was!

alice also met some birds and took part in a strange race called caucus race. it was funny because everybody started to run at different times and stopped at different times too. after the race, the birds said goodbye to alice and went away. alice walked and walked, she met the white rabbit again but it did not recognize her, it called her ‘mary ann’ and asked her to bring its hat for it. alice was afraid and would like to get bigger, so she found some strange mushrooms for dinner. she talked to the caterpillar which was sitting on the top of the mushroom. at last the big caterpillar told alice ‘eat the mushrooms you will change you size.” and then it vanished.

after that, alice went to her adventure. she met duchess, the cherish cat. the cherish cat was very strange. it had a smile on its face. what a lovely and different cat! later, she took part in a tea party and she discussed about time with a mouse and a hare. but actually she thought the tea party was very boring and stupid so she went away and came to a garden. to her surprise, everyone here was only card! the queen of the cards was bad-tempered. if you meet her, you’ll be afraid because she always shouted “cut off his head! cut off her head!” and they hold a trial because they thought someone stole the tarts.

in the end, alice found that was only a dream, she was still sitting under the tree. and the story ended. but i learnt many things from this book. in alice in wonderland, impossible is nothing, but the wonderland seems to be strange and stupid to us. because the things we do or we think are always sensible. we will lose so much fun in this way.

in fact, the story is a dream, but it shows me a different idea, just like our childhoods. i don’t want to grow up. i will have no choice but to face many difficulties and bad things when i grow up. actually wonderland is a nice place. that’s why i like this book. i always believe, the world is peace and wonderful, the cherry will always be in full bloom. like what dickens said “the pure, the bright, and the beautiful. these things shall never die.”

英语版的读后感篇8

as jane eyre,in her plainness and solitude, walks to and fro in the thornfield hall, her unfortunate childhood, conflicting love, and religious forbiddance all cannot stop her seeking a better life and cherishing the human nature. she broke loose the chains that jailed her spirit, and through her struggles she overcame the poverty, customs, social standards, and piety which all blocked her from her dream of happiness, and finally became the master of herself! it could be said that janes life was earned through retaliation and pursuit, that she fought tooth and nail until the sunlight was won. the sunlight now in her palm, shines brightly unto her!

in fact, one has endless thoughts for the most effulgent sunbeam that shines after the storm. i always think in a difficult situation,if and when the hardships of this life is done,if and when the road of time no longer curves,if and when i try my best to walk to the end, will i be able to see the blinding sunlight? for the most important meaning in life is that, struggling through your trials you realize the value of your life, while taking away all the bitter misfortunes. only then will we see the true radiance of the golden sun…
