每个人来到这个社会上，都承担着一种责任。我很小就知道，要为自己的行为负责任。这也是我比一般同龄人要大大高出的有优势。所以，我很少撒谎，尽管也扯过弥天大谎，但我从来不会违背朋友的承诺，老师的任务。而我现在要说的，不是这些生活中的点点滴滴，而是我们生命中的一种伟大的责任。

小时候经常听爷爷说人生路漫漫，每个人都要承担一定的责任。责任是什么？责任是一种生活态度。三年前亲眼目睹的一幕，让我彻底明白了责任的意义。三年前的一个炎热的下午，知了在树上开了一场演唱会。佳乐噪音很大。烈日烤焦了大地。我迎着强烈的阳光走在回家的路上。路边有个小摊，里面都是水。好奇心促使我挤进去。乍一看，原来是个茶摊。我刚要离开，一个衣衫褴褛、白发苍苍的老人走过来，看着阿姨手里的几碗茶，久久不肯移开目光。显然，他的举动引起了阿姨的注意，阿姨放下手中的活，走到老人面前说:老先生，你要来碗茶吗？老人点点头，又摇了摇头，但说:我没有钱。你做梦去吧。估计这个阿姨应该是个好心人。她同情老人，拿起一碗茶说:没关系，老头。我请你喝这碗茶。老人看着姑姑手里的一碗茶，犹豫了一下。阿姨把碗递给老人，老人颤抖着双手接住了茶。老人慢慢喝着茶，脸红了，不好意思地对阿姨说:姑娘，能给我这个碗吗？阿姨很惊讶，他不解的看着老人。跟你说实话，我得了肺结核。老人说，对别人来说，我的职责是防止疾病传染给别人，而对你来说，我的职责是让这碗在你的摊子上消失，而不是毁了你的名声。立刻，老人转身默默地离开了。

提起我们学校的门卫周老师，可真是尽职尽责啊！
每次，一放学我们就蜂群般地冲向校门口，这时，他就站在门口旁边，检查同学们是否佩戴证了，维持我们的秩序，在他的指挥下，我们很从容第走出校门口，飞奔回家……周老师很幽默，人经常有点迷糊，但对待我们学生的事他却一点不含糊。
我记得七年级时，有一次同班同学让我替她买一杯豆浆，〔校内没卖的〕，我吃完饭回来便顺便买了一杯，放在左口袋里，神态若然地向校园内走去，哪知道被眼尖的周老师看见了，上帝啊，这下我可完了，〔学校不允许从外面带吃的〕我心想，不过转念又想周老师我们俩私情不错，或许还可以通融一下，想到这儿，我强装镇定，走过去嬉皮笑脸地说：“老师，您看，这次真是……就算了吧?”周老师一脸严肃地说：“算了？这是学校的规定，不能就这样算了”……之后，他把我的豆浆给没收了，真是令人心痛。我原以为事情就这样过了，哪知，第二天，学校的黑板上赫然写着：xx班xxx同学因带饭进校，扣班级量化管理积分4分……当我看到这时，心里又气又痛，埋怨这个周老师不近人情。之后，我将近一个月没和周老师说话……而他依然在校门口指挥学生们出入。
时光飞逝，一眨眼我已上了九年级，这期间，学业更繁忙了，白天基本上不出校门口，晚上，回家的时候也是那样的匆忙，不曾与周老师像以前那样笑谈。这天晚上，我和几个同学因为讨论问题，晚了一会儿，走出教室时，才发现校园内已经稀稀拉拉没几个人了，我们正担心学校大门被锁上时，一个熟悉的身影映入眼帘——是周老师，他还没回去休息！见我们过来，他说又学习到这么晚，可要注意身体啊！边说边打开锁，让我们回去，他的话让我心中一暖：“周老师，您站在这儿不冷吗？”
“不冷？怎么不冷啊？”
“那你还……”
“这是我的责任！”他骄傲而又神圣地说着。
噢！我明白了。这就是责任，一个门卫的责任！
